Northwest Java

Onshore Northwest Java
West Java tectonic map summary showing the location of the sedimentary basins and half-graben depocenters (Modified after Kohar et al, 1996).

West-East geological cross-section of onshore West Java. There is a series of high and low structures. Talang Akar and Jatibarang are mainly Oligocene deposits. Baturaja and Cibulakan are Miocene in age. The Cisubuh Formation is dominated by Pliocene sediments. The formation naming of the lower section is similar to the South Sumatra Basin, and the upper section is the same as the offshore part of the basin (Martodjojo, op. Cit. Nopyansyah, 2007, in Nugroho et al, 2020).
